Stay Informed
Members receive the Voice, the Society’s official e-newsletter, published six times per year. The Voice will keep you informed on current ASCT activities, legislative issues, job listings and educational events. Members also have the opportunity to submit an article for consideration for the annual "Allen Writing Award". Members participate in and receive results of the “ASCT Annual Wage & Employment Survey”.

ASCT’s website provides access to professional resources, a Student Forum and information on current events. There is a members’ only section with additional resources including a Discussion Board.

Education
Our Annual Scientific Conference, held in conjunction with state and regional society partners, includes panel luncheons, microscope workshops and lectures to increase knowledge and improve skills in the field of Cytotechnology. We aim to provide high quality, affordable and practical sessions. Students also have the opportunity to enter the ASCT Annual Student Interesting Case Presentation Competition held during the conference.
ASCT online courses and new webinar series provide valuable educational opportunities. Members can enroll in the revised online course "Introduction to the Cytopreparation Laboratory", the "2011 FNA Learning Module" and educational webinars at a discounted member rate.

Publications & Products
ASCT offers the texts:  “Risk Management for the Cytology Laboratory” and “A Guide to Cytopreparation” and our new 2011 educational webinar series. Products include fun cytomorphology playing cards, pewter microscope lapel pins, polo shirts, giant microbe HPV stuffed plushies and note cards.

Career Center
Members have free access to the online Career Center where they can confidentially post their resumes, use a variety of job search tools and access the National Healthcare Career Network (NHCN) – a growing network of over 60 healthcare associations and professional organizations with 1,500+ job postings.

Ensure Effective Legislative Action
At the national level ASCT works to help its members shape legislative action and maintain awareness of legislative issues relating to the field of cytology. The Legislative & Government Affairs Committee remains abreast of legislative, licensure, risk management and regulatory issues that may affect you.

Be Active, Be a Member
