What do you want to hear about in The VOICE?

Do you have an article or news you would like to share? Send your ideas and articles to the Editor.  All articles with a byline published in The Voice are eligible for the annual Allen Achievement in Writing Award with no application necessary.  Winners of this award receive $100 and a commemorative plaque and are recognized at the Annual Conference.  Submit your article today!


Allen Achievement in Writing Award
This award is granted by the ASCT Foundation is the Allen Achievement in Writing Award.   This award is named after Karen Allen, who was the 2002-2003 President of the ASCT and served as the editor of the ASCT NEWS from 1996 to 2004.  She established this award in 2004 to acknowledge and encourage individuals for excellence in writing.  Selection by a panel will be made based on the quality of writing and the subject matter.

Land the Cover Photo of the Voice!
Are you the next ASCT star?

Want to put your peers or yourself on the cover of the Voice? Here’s your chance to recognize an individual or a group of dedicated cytotechnologists.  Any cytotechnologist (student or working), cytology organization, workplace or cytology program is eligible for nomination. You may nominate yourself or another deserving person.  If able, a different region of the country will be highlighted in each newsletter. 

Email a JPG photo (no videos) including a brief written summary explaining why the person or organization deserves to be on the cover. Tell us where you live, where you work and why your photograph should win!  Photos must be 500 pixels high and wide.  The summary will be edited and published in the Voice.

Be sure to include:

  • Your name
  • Name of nominee
  • Photo
  • Location and workplace
