- Annual Spotlight articles, bimonthly Executive council communication reports, quarterly contacts with liaisons within each region, personal contact with educational programs within each region, attend one regional meeting with ASCT promotional material.

Strategies & Initiatives:
- Produce publications that are relevant to the practicing cytotechnologist.
- Respond to practice needs by providing practical materials for preparing for inspections by regulatory agencies.
- Provide an annual quality continuing education program that is affordable, accessible and comprehensive in a relaxed peer environment.
- Provide avenues for cytotechnology students to participate in the annual continuing education program.

Measure(s) & Evaluation:
- Evaluate the number of publications sold and distributed over time along with buyers’ evaluations.
- Review/revise quality assurance publications every two years. Use ASCT Services annual report to identify opportunities for the development of laboratory improvement and determine if current publications address these issues.
- Monitor the number of registrants and feedback from program evaluations.
- Monitor the number of student registrants, the number of students participating in student specific activities, and student feedback from program evaluations.

| GOAL #3: Advocate professional standards for cytotechnologists. |
Strategies & Initiatives:
- Establish on-going relationships with state and regional cytology societies to identify professional concerns.
- Collaborate with national professional organizations to participate in legislative and regulatory activities.
- Assure quality cytology practices in the laboratory by reviewing, evaluating, and communicating survey data.
- Provide qualified ASCT members the opportunity to participate in the survey and regulatory process.

Measure(s) & Evaluation:
- Provide annual summary of professional concerns communicated by the Regional Directors and ASCT’s response.
- Report all collaborative efforts to membership through ASCT publications and website.
- Monitor trends in laboratory survey data from ASCT Services Inc. annual report.
- Monitor the number/percent of members actively participating in the survey process and the number/percent of new consultants reported annually by ASCT Services.
