This updated and revised course is intended to provide fundamental information about the cytopreparation laboratory, supplementing the orientation materials typically given to new cytopreparatory employees when they are initially hired. The course is very basic, and assumes no prior knowledge of laboratory procedures. The content of this course is also suitable for cytotechnology students and anyone else who may benefit from learning about the procedures and general operation of the cytopreparation laboratory.

In addition to the chapter text, the course includes a glossary, supplemental PowerPoint files, study cards and a self-assessment exercise for each chapter. Participants can print their own self-assessment results. There is no minimum score required, nor defined passing grades. If desired, laboratories may monitor self-assessment results and set their own Pass/Fail requirements. Individuals who complete the course may request a Certificate of Completion from ASCT.
All subscriptions last for 12 months from the date of registration and access to the course. Its resources are available for the entire 12 month period. To register, complete the Registration Form and email or fax to ASCT with payment. You will receive your username and password via email from ASCT after payment is received. You MUST fill in your email address in order to receive your username and password.
